Our Vineyard Area

Our vineyards cover approximately 30 acres (12 hectares) of wine grape production area with a volcanic soil structure containing sand and clay. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of 1,100 meters Our wine grapes include 5 varieties:

Narince

Narince is one of Turkey’s most valuable local white grape varieties. Its cultivation in the high-altitude vineyards of Kayseri gives it a distinct minerality and vibrancy.

Chardonnay

One of the best-known white grape varieties worldwide, Chardonnay gains a unique character from Kayseri’s altitude and cold nights.

Roussanne

Roussanne is an aromatic white grape variety, usually grown in the Rhône Valley of France, but well suited to Kayseri’s viticultural potential.

Kalecik Karası

Kalecik Karası is one of Turkey’s most refined red grape varieties. Thanks to Kayseri’s climate, it is cultivated in a way that preserves its fine, elegant structure.

Tempranillo

Tempranillo is one of Spain’s most famous red grape varieties, gaining a rich flavor profile with the unique terroir characteristics of Kayseri.

The high-altitude region where our vineyards are located, with its volcanic lime and clay soils, offers a unique terroir — the soul of the soil — for grape growing. The high temperature differences between day and night enhance the aromatics of our grapes, giving our wines depth and sophistication.

At Kayseri Molu Farm, at an altitude of 1,100 meters, we carefully cultivate Chardonnay, Roussanne, Narince, Kalecik Karası, and Tempranillo — both local and international grape varieties — in our certified organic vineyards. Our vineyards, aged between 12 and 40 years, with local rootstocks, have deep roots producing mineral-rich and balanced grapes.

The planting of our vineyards was completed in 2009, and organic farming certification was received. Vineyard age varies between 15 and 50 years.

In our vineyards, production is carried out without using any pesticides, relying entirely on natural control methods. The region’s terroir is unique for wine grape cultivation. The soil of the Cappadocia region is particularly suitable for wine grapes: volcanic, calcareous, high pH, rich in minerals, and poor in organic matter. Due to continental climate conditions, significant day-night temperature differences, low humidity, and seasonal winds, grapes with very suitable aromas are grown.
